Tuesday Morning Bible Study begins Tuesday, September 13th. 10:30 am to 12:00 pm in Fellowship Hall. Join us for a six-week study on Simon Peter.
Using Pastor Adam Hamilton’s wonderful book, Simon Peter: Flawed But Faithful Disciple, we will take an in-depth dive into the life, faith, and character of Simon Peter. We’ll discover his shortcomings as well as his courage, his determination, and his longings to follow Jesus. Through DVD input and discussion together, we’ll find out how Peter’s story connects with our faith journeys and how we can follow Jesus as disciples. Everyone is welcome to join this study. Please bring your own Bible. The books will be available on Tuesday, September 13.
Women’s Retreat This Fall — “Wonder-Full World” October 21 & 22 Plans are underway for a Women’s Retreat at our church later this Fall. It will be on a Friday afternoon, wrapping up with dinner and prayer stations, and all day on Saturday, finishing up about 5 pm. We will be inviting women from our neighboring United Methodist churches and from our community. The theme is “Wonder-Full World.” We know God has blessed us. But sometimes … we wonder. “I wonder where God is when life is hard?”; “I wonder if I can make a difference?”; and “I wonder what the future holds?” Join us on a journey to consider these questions and more, as we explore the depths of God’s Wonder-Full healing love and power. Mark 5:25-34 will be our theme Bible story.
