Rev. Jody Topping

Rev. Jody Topping grew up a United Methodist in Southern California. She is a second-career pastor, having first spent about 25 years working in the field of Human Resource Administration in the public sector. She entered seminary in 2008, graduated in 2012 with a Masters of Divinity, was Commissioned (2014) and then ordained an Elder (2016) by the Desert Southwest Conference. After training and working at Gold Canyon UMC, she was appointed in 2014 to Faith UMC in Phoenix (AZ), then in 2018 to Song of Life UMC in Queen Creek (AZ), in 2023 to Pahrump Valley UMC, and now as the Senior Pastor of First UMC Sun City. Pastor Jody is married to David, a professional singer, choir directorand “IT guy,” and they have two adult children and three grandchildren.
